Children at Risk of Long Term Health Problems

Full Description:

As we find ourselves surfing the internet and watching more movies and playing more video games we are at an increased risk of long term health concerns, especially our children. Those these activities have their merit, we are less likely to do other activites that require more motion. Today's children are more at risk of obesity, diabetes and heart disease than children of yester-year because of all of the indoor entertainment available. Lowering the amount of quick-service food and getting in more exercise will decrease your childrens chances of these devastating disease's. But remember it has to start at the top, you have to participate as well. Try snacks that are more healthy than chips and soda. For example: yogurt, fruit and juices. Then take the time to get in some exercise like bike riding or playing catch. And with all of the recent snow it is a perfect excuse to go out sleding. Stay healthy and enjoy.
